Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Specialist with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our digital assets, managing and mitigating security risks, and implementing comprehensive security strategies. You will work closely with our IT and operations teams to safeguard our systems and data from potential threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption tools.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices and awareness.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in cyber security.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, encryption, and security protocols.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Experience with security incident response and forensics.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools.
